WHO TRAINED DANIEL?
Who trained Daniel to become Daniel? The young 15 year old was trafficked from Jerusalem into the foreign city of Babylon. He was surrounded by incredible temptation. But even at a young age, Daniel chose God. Holy Faith Fellowship is committed to training our youth to love God’s Word, even as Daniel loved God’s Word. We intentionally train the children with ‘jury room Bible study’ which is an inductive method, encouraging our children to ask their deepest questions. Faith grows when their questions are answered from the text. And really grows when they apply God’s Word in their lives. From a young age Holy Faith is committed to forming Christ in our young disciples. Babylon is everywhere. Our children must be prepared!
The name of our youth ministry is ‘More Than Conquerors.’ Paul writes in Romans 8 that those who are called by God, and love God, are more than conquerors. To be a conqueror means you are victorious. You are bigger, stronger, smarter or better than the opponent or enemy. But to be more than a conqueror means that you win even when you lose. We live in a cold and hard world. The gospel turns everything upside down. Therefore, we train our youth that neither tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword shall separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. Holy Faith Fellowship has three groups of conquerors: (1) More Than Conquerors: High school; (2) Middle Conquerors: Middle school; (3) Lil’ Conquerors: Elementary (Sunday service grades preschool-5)
CHRISTIAN FRIENDS
The enemy is waging an all-out war for the soul of our children. Psalm 1 disciples study God’s Word day and night. And they choose their friends wisely. They do not walk, stand or sit with sinners and scoffers. We believe that every child needs strong faith friends. Show us your friendship and we will show you your future. With the Word and Christian community, we pray that all of our children we become trees that are planted by the water, bearing fruit in every season. The world is full of friendly people. We strive to be Biblical friends!
