Rev. Dr. John Teter is the planting pastor of Holy Faith Fellowship. John and Becky planted and pastored Fountain of Life Covenant Church in West Long Beach for 14 years (2007-2021). For five years, John served the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination spearheading church planting, calling, training and sending 100+ church plants. In 2015, John and a group of mission minded partners founded Holy Faith Antioch, developing urban apostles and church planters in US hoods, Tokyo, Japan and Nairobi, Kenya.
Pastor Teter has written four books. Get the Word Out, Jesus & the Hip Hop Prophets (with Alex Gee); Get the Word Out; and to accelerate public discussions of faith he penned Jesus Michael and Mamba with Michael Thomas during the Covid-19 pandemic. He is a die-hard Lakers fan and considers his very small role in the Los Angeles Lakers band a miraculous answer to prayer.

EXECUTIVE MINISTER
Becky Teter is the co-founding minister of Holy Faith Fellowship. She is a Bible-centered leader who solves real problems in the city. In 2007, she began the Family Center in West Long Beach to combat illiteracy, gang recruiting, and teen pregnancy. The Family Center has tutored 500+ children to grade-level achievements in math and English. In 2014, she launched 5000 Pies with Chef Mike Martinez. This social enterprise restaurant offers second chances to neighbors from tough backgrounds and provides valuable first time vocation experience for high school youth. 5000 Pies was awarded the inaugural business award from the Mayor of Long Beach. Becky also carries a special burden to develop faith in the hearts and minds of children and youth.
Becky loves to cook, watch, and play tennis, and has an amazing sense of humor (so if you find yourself laughing during one of John’s sermons, he is probably re-telling one of Becky’s jokes.) And she is always full of love for Cookie, the best beagle in all the land.

YOUTH MINISTER
Joe Gevas became a Christian while on a baseball scholarship at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Joe joined the More Than Conquerors dorm Bible study and fell in love with the Bible. Today, he is honored to lead the next generation of More Than Conquerors (high school and middle school youth ministry).
Joe and Ruth have been married for 15 years and have two wonderful children. The Gevas love to host gatherings at their home, mentoring youth, and giving away their lives for the Kingdom of God. Joe loves sports, working with his hands, and BBQ. He is passionate about helping youth to learn the Bible and hear from the Holy Spirit for themselves in their teenage years.

ASSOCIATE MINSTER
Jensen Elias is deeply passionate about preaching the Gospel to our generation in a way that is relevant and Christ-Centered. His heart is focused on discipling and equipping others to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. Over the past ten years, He's been involved in youth and young adult ministry within urban communities and is focused on helping young adults win their 20's.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife while watching films, trying new foods, playing pickleball, and enjoying a nice sunset at the beach.
